Why only a rear brake? The La Bastille is Matthias Dandois' signature bike. Matthias rides brakeless so technically this is a brakeless bike but CPSC regulations require the bike to be sold with a rear brake. The frame is drilled for gyro tabs (sold separately) so you can add a gyro if you would like. You can also add a front brake with a bolt on 990 brake plate or a different fork (also sold separately).
